After being in with Stoney Acres Salem for 4 years, Monica finally had a baby and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.  19-1/2" black jennet was born 6/29/07.  This is a breeding we will definitely repeat! Our Future Brood Jennies

H.R. Bobbi

Date of Birth: 09/23/2007

20" at birth

Foal Coat: gray

Sire: Stoney Acres Salem - 33" - black - NLP - no cross or stripe

Dam: H.R. Buttercup - ____" - gray

Bobbi was born about 11 p.m.  It was an easy birth and mom had plenty of milk and Bobbi found it right away.  We were able to get a good night's sleep after this birth!  Bobbi is a very square and beautiful bundle of energy.  Teeth are very good.  We will probably keep Bobbi as a future brood jennet.

H.R. Delilah

Date of Birth: 09/08/2007

19 1/2 " at birth

Foal Coat: black

Sire: Stoney Acres Salem - 33" - black - NLP - no cross or stripe

Dam: Short ASSets Millicent (aka Millie)

This is Millie's first foal -- and she's a keeper!  Millie has the same great confirmation as Mom and both of her grandfathers (MGF Future Link and Short ASSets Star's War).  Yes, this little girl's pedigree reads like a "Who's Who" in the Donkey World.  Millie is an excellent mother.  We enjoy Delilah's antics each and every day.

Little Friends Enchilada

                                                                                                                      November 2007

Date of Birth: 03/30/2005

21 1/2" at birth

Foal Coat: Dark Brown/Gray & White Spotted (Tyger Spotting Pattern)

Sire: KMA Montana The Sundance Kid - 33" - black & white spotted

Dam:  Milomix Burrito - 32 1/4" - dark gray-dun

From the moment I saw the photo of The Sundance Kid on Little Friend Ranch's website, I knew I had to have a jennet foal of his!  As soon as I saw Enchilada, I knew I had to have her!  She has not disappointed us.  She was an absolute love as a baby, and she is maturing into a very sweet and pretty jennet.  We are very anxious to breed her in 2008.

H.R. Katrina

Date of Birth: 09/09/2005

20" at birth

Foal Coat: Gray

Sire: H.R. Freedom - 29-1/2" black - NLP - no cross or stripe

Dam: B-7 Sweetie Pie, 32-1/4", gray

842 ancestors per Pat Scanlan

Katrina was born to first-time dad, H.R. Freedom and first-time mom, B-7 Sweetie Pie.  What a super job they did!  This little girl is a whirlwind of activity and her mom has her job cut out, just trying to keep up.  Katrina weighed 25 lbs. at birth, and, at barely 20", she is a very compact and filled out newborn.  Teeth are right-on (yes, she was born with teeth) and her legs and back are very straight.  Her chest looks nice and wide for a newborn. She's definitely a keeper. Looking forward to breeding her to Stoney Acres Salem in a few years.

Gardner's Lavita Sue

Date of Birth: 05/26/2005

Foal Coat: Dark Brown

Sire: Sunset Acres Jet - 34" - dark brown

Dam:  Gardner's Tinata Lynn - 32 1/4" - dark brown

We purchased Lavita Sue when she was 3-1/2 months old (along with her dam, Tinata Lynn).  I liked her as a foal; I love as she matures.  She is so very pretty and she has always been very, very, overly friendly.  She and Enchilada are best friends and we will breed them about the same time so they foal near each other.  Lavita Sue has an impressive background which includes his sire, Sunset Acres Jet, and his grandsire, Sunset Acres The Fireman.  We are expecting an exceptional baby when we breed her.

H.R. Mimosa

Date of Birth: 04/13/2006

" at birth

Foal Coat: Black

Sire: Stoney Acres Salem - 33" - black - NLP - no cross or stripe

Dam:  H.R. Sabrina - 31" - dark brown

At almost 2 years old, Mimosa is still as black as she was at birth.  She has good conformation and is a very loving girl.  We will breed her to H.R. Freedom when she is three years old.

H.R. Sierra

Date of Birth: 06/28/07

19 1/2" at birth

Foal Coat: black

Sire: Stoney Acres Salem - 33" - black - NLP - no cross or stripe

Dam: EA Santa Monica - 32 1/4" - dark brown

Monica and Salem have been "together" for 4 years -- with no pregnancy until this time!  This little gem was well worth the wait.  She was only 19-1/2" at birth and weighed 18 pounds at one day old.  She is as black as they come, with a few white hairs on one side of her forehead and a white muzzle.  Mom is extremely protective (who can blame her) and our little beauty is active and running circles around mom.  We will be anxious to see how this precious baby matures.

H.R. Sunshine

Date of Birth: 5/2/2006

20" at birth

Foal Coat: dark brown

Sire: H.R. Freedom - 29-1/2" black - NLP - no cross or stripe

Dam: EA Santa Maria - 31-1/2" gray

Maria always has beautiful, square foals.  Sunshine is no exception. She is a joy to be around and always makes us smile.  Sunshine's name is very appropriate.
